| Each trophy is different from the other. |

The Driftwood for the trophies range in length from 7 inches to 20 inches and were collected mostly at Pescadero
State Beach south of Half Moon Bay and Moat Creek Beach up near Point Arena over the last month. Each piece is wide
enough to accommodate specially made black metal plates that are glued on to the wood and are inscribed with the
name of the division and placing of the contestant along with general information about the contest, date,
etc. The trophies are finished by glueing on shells, beach glass, sand dollars and, for the first place trophies,
star fish. Twine is is threaded through the top of the driftwood so that winners can take them home and hang it
on their wall or on the side view mirror of their camper vans.
Not pictured in the group photo of volunteers above include John McManus, Dana Peifer, Christina "Bam Bam"
Kossa, Al Gjedsted and Roy Earnest.
