Driftwood trophies will once again be given to the top 6 finishers in each division. We've
come up with a different design from last year and plan to once again collect what we need at at Pescadero State Beach
south of Half Moon Bay and Moat Creek Beach up near Point Arena. Each piece is wide enough to accommodate specially
made black metal plates that are glued on to the wood and are inscribed with the name of the division and placing
of the contestant along with general information about the contest, date, etc. The trophies are finished
by glueing on shells, beach glass, sand dollars and, for the first place trophies, star fish. Twine is threaded
through the top of the driftwood so that winners can go home and hang them on their wall.
